Polaris team’s London Bridges Charity Walk/Run

On the 2nd of July, seventeen members of the Polaris team took part in our London Bridges Fundraiser Walk, walking or running across eight iconic bridges in London. This event was in support of one of our charity partners, the Spitalfields Crypt Trust, a local organisation dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by homelessness and addiction.

The fundraiser featured two routes: a 5-mile and a more challenging 10-mile course. Some of the team chose to run the route, battling the wind and rain whilst keeping spirits high cheering each other on, while others opted to walk, enjoying the scenic views and the camaraderie of the team.

We began our journey at Tower Bridge, the first of many iconic crossings. From there, we moved to London Bridge, then Cannon Street Railway Bridge, Southwark Bridge, and the sleek Millennium Bridge. As we continued, we crossed Blackfriars Bridge, the expansive Waterloo Bridge, and Hungerford Bridge, finally concluding our trek at Westminster Bridge before following the route back to Tower Bridge.

With persistence and dedication, everyone successfully completed the walk or run. The event was a resounding success and we managed to raise £1,180 which exceeded our target goal.

We ended the day on a high knowing that our collective efforts had made a meaningful impact on the charity’s mission and the local community.
